Cabinet Update

Have you been wondering what the NDPA Cabinet have been up to since September's AGM?

At the NDPA AGM in September 2007 it was made clear to the NDPA Cabinet that we needed to do some work around our structure and strategy planning.  Since September, the Cabinet have been working hard to pull together a number of documents to support the aims and objectives of the NDPA so that we may present them to the police service.

The documentation that has been created will be 'launched' at the NDPA Committee meeting on the 19th March 2008.  It will also be published on the internet.  This includes a 3 year strategy, communications strategy, membership options, finance policy and procedure, conduct policy and procedure and our bidding document for funding from the Home Office for 2008-2009.

The NDPA has also been working to develop a national disability hate crime conference in October 2008.  This conference has not been officially launched yet as we are awaiting final approval from our stakeholders - but watch this space!  We should hopefully have more news in time for the Committee meeting.
