Nottinghamshire Police’s Disability Awareness Network

On 21st October 2004 DAWN was able to answer the Chief Constable’s question – “would it be feasible to form a group locally?” - thanks to a small group of people who met for the first time. By the end of that 4 hour session, with the assistance of Paul O’Keefe (Chair of the Met’s DSA [Disabled Staff Association]) who came to support the formation of the Group, a dedicated commitment was in place.
