International Disabled Police Network |
This section has come about due to contact from officers with disabilities from outside the United Kingdom.
Having discussed the treatment of disabled people employed by Police forces across the world it has become apparent that although the conditions are the same the ‘rules of engagement’ as it were, differ considerably.
Treat this site as a source of support and guidance enabling the exchange of best practise across the world. Together we are stronger and can advance the treatment and understanding of disabilities, improve the working environment and ensure fair treatment through awareness and training in the form of networking and conferences. By cooperating we can compare policies and adjustments that are implemented, demonstrating that if a course of action works in one country then why should it not work in another.
As people come forward and discover this site from across the world, contact the Webmaster who will create a page and a section on the forum for you to write in your own language.
Welcome again and remember that you are not alone and together we can and will, make a difference.

Chair, NDPA
